Price survey for Taurus Police model .38 UL Titanium

My wife is looking for a Ultra Light .38 and since .&. is not available She is looking for a hammerless UL Titanium Taurus. The problem- Can't find one at the gun shows!

I like to know what kind of deal she is getting but with the limited supply in our area (Indiana) it might be hard to compare prices. A survey of prices across the country would be appreciated. A report from anyone who has one would also be great.

I thought I wanted one of those, but they are asking $500 at my local shop.

Whew. Maybe I'll buy 3 more Makarovs instead!

My wife just picked up the model 85 UL which comes with or without the hammer for $279 NIB.This was a "on sale price", It usually goes for $299. It is not the titanium model but it is the light weight frame . The Titanium model we compared it to was around $419, and we couldn't see paying the extra money for the little bit of weight difference. The basic mod.85 UL is rated for +P 38's. The trigger pull was even smoother than the *&* we compared it to. I really wanted her to buy the *&* , But she liked the Taurus' trigger and it felt better in her hand. All in all, it seems to be a great value on a relible piece of self protection.
 
Yeah the Taurus model 85 are great guns. I have a Total Titanium model 85 and I like it alot. So much in fact, that I am planning to buy a Stainless Steel model 85 today. Its cool to have such a small gun that you can put in your pocket. And having a revolver is cool as well since revolvers are something different from the semiautos that everyone has nowadays....
