Does anyone have an idea what a Colt Detective Special .38 Spl., Chrome, rubber grips, no box and in almost new condition should be priced? I have one located, but not sure if it is worth the price asked. Thanks in advance.
 
Well, prices on Detective Specials vary a lot now, and generally are much higher here than they were a couple of years ago. I would expect a gun like that to be priced in the local shops areound here for $350 or so, but i would not pay that much for it.

That said, I would not pay more than $275 or so for it. BUT, buying a gun is not alway a rational thing. God knows i have spent more for a few revolvers than i should have because i HAD to have it RIGHT then! :-)

Detective Specials are cool guns, and they are no longer made, so if you like it and you can afford it, buy it and enjoy it.
