Price of NIB Browning HP Mark III?

A local shop has a NIB Browning Hi-Power Mark III for $459. They usually sell them for $499 but it's on sale now. Is this a good price? Should I pass it up? I know this will sound stupid, but I've always wanted a HP just because it looks so smooth, the ultimate Art Deco pistol. Thanks.

I agree, it is an excellent price for either a .40s&w or 9mm HiPower.

I forgot to mention it comes with two ten rounds mags. What's the usual selling price for a NIB Mark III?

tecolote,
Is that a 9mm or 40s/w? and if so no its not,,,,,if you will send me the number to that shop Ill call and tell em so......... ;), sounds right to me. Im still looking for another 40 mk111, but the way things are a 9mm would be good too.....luck to ya....fubsy.

That price is right in line with the current market. I would hope that you want this for more than an art piece. Once you shoot a Hi Power, you'll be hooked.

Excellent price. Wish I paid that for mine!!

Excellent piece. This may sound sacreligious, but I think This is John M. Browning's best pistol design. Better than the 1911a1.

LegalWolf;
10 rounds for the .40. I myself haven`t found any hi caps. I have 6 factory and a couple of aftermarket and the aftermarket are only good for practice. Picked them up at a gunshow. Blech! I do like the .40 better than the nine. in fact I traded the nine for the .40 and a couple of bucks.

I don't know what prices are like in your area, but before the shortage a MkIII was bringing $359-$379 NIB in Texas. Depends on how bad you want the pistol. Another production run is scheduled for this year and you will see them available once again. The 9mm are completely gone from distributor shelves, there are some .40's still remaining.

The .40 now comes with a 10 round mag, the full capacity would be 11 rounds. I have not seen any Browning 11 round mags. I have a number of 11 round mags from a Browning .41 AE conversion kit from Action Arms that I use.
