Price of a used Glock 19

I have been looking for a good used Glock 19. Used ones, in this part of Florida, are very scarce right now. Yesterday I found one in like new condition, mfg. in 2001. The dealer wants $475, plus tax, and won't budge. Does this price seem a little high?

Seems high to me. He's probably banking on the fact that, for whatever reason, Glocks seem to be hard to get. The cost for my Glock 31 w/ Adj. sights I bought a month ago was about 480.

Guns must be dirt cheap in WNC!

I bought my brand new Glock 19 complete with Meprolite night sights for $419 three years ago.
Maybe you'd do better by looking into a Shotgun News or Gunlist and finding the new or used (maybe police trade-in) that you want. Afterwards, find an pawn dealer with an FFL and have him ship it in for you. A fair pawn dealer will charge about $10 plus shipping for the service.

Good luck. :)

Unfortunately (although also furtunately) it seems demand is high for all firearms at the moment. This price does seem high. It would also matter it is a second or third gen gun. I got my like new 2nd gen G-19 with one ten round mag for
$439 here in LA. But from what I read here and at www.glocktalk.com guns are more expensive here in CA. I'd shop around.

The shop where I worked in Virginia still sells them NIB for $479, so I'd say he's a little bit high.

Might be a case of asking for too high a price and being willing to come down to the actual number he'll take, though.

Seems high.
Might try to locate a factory reconditioned. Those in G19 flavor were running $400 to $425 with one factory non-neutered mag.
Take Care
