Price of a Colt 1991.

What is the current price of a blued Colt 1991 Government NIB around your area? I'm seeing them for $599 around Porltand, Oregon. I think this too high, since only one or two years ago they went for $475-$525. What do you guys think?
 
I show suggested retail NEW....$645.00.
100 % with box $525.00
If it has been fired probably not 100%...then from $425 downward.

I just paid $599 for a new 1991 Commander. It has the earlier COLT1991A1 stamp on it instead of the newer rollmarks. Being prior service, I like the old style better.

There was a poster at 1911.forum that ordered 2 new ones from Keslers two weeks ago. I think he got hem for $413 each. Can't remember, and the board is still down.:(

I know I paid too much, but this is a smalltown shop that we're trying to keep in business.
 
The cheapest wholesaler in Shotgun News listed a wholesale price of over $500, and our dealer pricing with Davidson's in Arizona was also over $500.

I lucked out like NO OTHER!!!!!

I was looking for a 1911 for about 2 months and after not seeing anything But Kimbers at My local Gunshops, I decided to go back to a Gun Dealer that I had some bad luck with before. As soon as I walked in the door, some guy just put a Colt 1991A1 on consignment because he was in Financial troubles and needed money right away. I believe he put 5 or 6 guns up the same day. He owned the gun for 3 months but never got around to shooting it.

I put $100 down on the gun and came back with My Russian SKS and Russian Saiga rifles. Both Russian Rifles sold in 24hrs and I walked out the door with $$ and a brand new Colt 1991 the next day:p

Not bad for My first Handgun:cool:

Those guys better let the dealers in the other 49 states know what wholesalers they use.

You need to PM dsk and Amish with your FFL's name and address so they can do a transfer! Even with shipping and transfer fees, they'd save a mint!
 
When I got My gun most 1991A1's were going for around $475. There was some kind of a price increase about 6 months after I got mine. I was amazed 1yr after I got My gun I was seeing $550 for some of them. Me Lucked out :D

Whoa:) Wait a minute it was 3yrs ago. Has it been so long??? It was two years ago during the MMM March that I got My Beretta 92FS and the year before that was the Colt 1991A1.

Actually Tamara, I already bought one at the end of December for $499. They went up to $569 immediately after, but at the same time these new ones are also the new polished guns. Mine was one of the polished slide, but matte frame models (yechh...). It's now in the process of being turned into another custom creation.
 
They seem to have gotten a Reputation boost in the last year or two. When I first got Mine people were saying they were crap.

I out shot 3 Police Officers the first time I fired it:eek:

I prefer the name COLT on My 45's:)
 
In CA, the Colt 1991a1 is $599 for blue & $699 for stainless. Take $50 off if you find a sale, add $75 for adjustable sights. YMMV ;)
