Thinking of selling some 30-06 Military surplus ammo . What is a reasonable asking price . I have 6 cans of 720 rounds each in 20 round boxes . (big spam cans) all lake City clean and unopened .

I have had this ammo for over 30 years stored in a dry heated home .
Most of it was made in or around 1950

"Most of it was made in or around 1950"

That most definitely hurts the value IMHO. 30/06 was still corrosive primed until 1952-1954(depending on production plant). Collectors or re-enactors might be a better market than shooters.

MIDWAY is selling surplus 30/06 ammo right now in the .70 cents a round range, some are loaded on stripper clips, some are in boxes. According to the description, they are late 60's production from Paskitan, and whatever you buy, it comes in a ammo can. Good Luck
