Price for NIB Ital. Beretta 92FS in SS?

I paid $ 500 for one with no SS hicaps ( it came with 1 blued hi cap) and $500 for one with 2 SS hicaps, box, all original papers but it also has millet target sights, which I don't like and plan to replace. When I put an add for one on the net people were asking $700 for nib with 2 SS hicaps. So $550 would be a great price-not neccessarily a fair one-but thats their loss and your gain. People sell SS hicaps for up to $125 each! $100 is not uncommon. Jump on that if you can get it.

GunList has them at $750 NIB w/ one hicap. If you can get it, it's a great price. I bought mine used 2 yrs ago for $400 w/ one hicap. I guess they are getting harder to find, specially the Italians. Good luck

Yes but Turner's is American Made, The Italian one should be more valuable so again $550 is a great price these days.

Thanks. I bid $600, but the guy wants more, so I'll let somebody else have it. Nobody even bid on it but me. I'm going to buy a Ljungman instead.

B. Shipley,

I found one a couple of weeks ago at the following location...(352)621-4605..Garvins guns, in Homossassa, fl., fax number is (352) 628-0203----he had a ss italian made 92fs in the case for less than $600....Hopefully it will be what your looking for...fubsy.

Well I was hoping to pick it up for myself but I have other expenses right now....last two pistols I located and had eyes on Ive told other's about...oh well.....there isalways that lottery...lol..fubsy.

Legion3, are you saying that the American made quality is less than the Italian ones? Where is your justification for stating that?

I'd justifying it by making a comparison of the cars I've owned, but since Berettas are CNC machined, one would think that Italian versus US milling machines would be an even match. I don't know about the handfitting and final assembly, but the whole purpose of CNC was to minimize this.

Yep...that's what I am saying. However, I was refering to the fact that since Italian ones are the original, harder to find and imported versions they should (and do) fetch a higher price. The American 92's are top-quality but the SS Italian ones are harder to come by and should be preferable when all else is equal. American SS 92's run about $475-550 all day long. Some people ask too much for an American made one. Italian ones should go for more.
