Would a few of you knowledgeable people please tell me what a new Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 is selling for in your area. Just the base price, no taxes or fees. I'm back in the market for one.

Saw one for $499 at Gander Mountain in Milwaukee. Price seems high, all their other prices are high.

FWIW, one of the local shops around here had the "Loaded" model, blued, for $495.
