Brought the gun home yesterday ... was even better than I had hoped for (after some cleaning, etc.).

Final price: $300.00 w/ holster tossed in.

Hard to beat an old Smith & Wesson revolver in almost new condition!

i have no immediate use for this revolver.

that said, i would have bought it anyway. ya know how that goes. good gun, decent price, i'll take that one, please.

Congrat's On Your Purchase-

You bought yourself a very fine firearm. While I own
and constantly shoot a Smith & Wesson 6" model
686-5, I can very well remember the day's that I owned
and carried a 4" S&W model 66 on patrol. Perhaps, not
as sturdy as the 686; but lighter in weight, making for
an excellent all day holster firearm. I wouldn't want to
subject any model 66 to a steady diet of .357 magnum
125 grain JHP's; but in shooting .38 Special's it should
last you a lifetime!

CZ - congrats on a great deal. If you want to have an action/trigger job done, try Clark Custom Guns in Princeton - tel. (318) 949-9884. I see you're in Louisiana, as I am, and I've had all of my revolvers treated to the Clark magic - it's about the best service trigger I've ever felt on a revolver, surpassed only by Teddy Jacobson of "Actions by T" in Sugarland, TX (who charges much more and takes longer, but then he's a one-man specialist shop).
