I know I can check GB, and have. But I'm interested in what you guys may be seeing locally. I looked at one of these today in real nice condition but they wanted $599. That seems a bit high to me. I have a gun I was thinking about trading, but don't want to spend more than I have to over and above what I have to trade.

The last 6" 28-2 I bought, I got in a private contract for $400.00. The fellow was going to trade it at his LGS and they were going to give him $350.00 on the trade. I offered him $400 and he took it. The LGS was probably going to price it at about $500.00.

Yes, the 4" models seem to be getting a premium, and are almost bringing 27 prices on gunbroker. I turned one down for $480 OTD at a pawn shop a couple of weeks ago, and am now beginning to regret it (it's long gone).

I bought a 6" 28-2 last year for $340 out the door from a dealer at a show. Only problem is the red insert has broken off; but it also has target trigger, target hammer, and a really sweet trigger job.

Joe, unless the 6" M-28 you are looking at is like new in box with all the paper work the price is $50.00 - $100.00 above current pricing.

Do remember though none of have a crystal ball and don't know what prices will be in 6 - 12 months.

You have to decide, can I afford it, and do I want it enough to over pay by 10%? If you have answered yes to both, remember we like photos..

That would be a good price in my area.

If you really want it $50-$100 in the future is nothing.
