S&W Model 17-3 K-22 Masterpiece with target trigger and hammer. 6-shot, 6" barrel. Excellent condition. Fired very little. Looks to be 15-20 yrs old. Nice wood grips.

What would be a fair price for this gun? Would $25 be on the high side or low side?

rock_jock your in the ball-park. I wouldn't sell you a S&W 17-3, K-22 for the aforementioned $25.00; but $425.00 seems a bit on the high side of the scale.:D Come'on back down to $400.00
and talk turkey!!!:)

A high-priced pawn broker here has one with the 8"+ length barrel, ANIB for the same $425. That leads me to feel it is on the HIGH side.:)

K frames=$300-350 N frames=400-450

That's what I try to go by. N O W if it's a pre-model you'll have to add 50 to 75 w/box and
papers.I paid $465 for a 1947 pre-K17 in 99%,
cylinder ring only, which had the handdipped 'matte' finish. I paid too much....dewey

I really feel that if you pay three bills, that's enough.

Now, you are a free agent, do what YOU WANT to do. I've often paid over market for what I REALLY wanted. K22s are not uncommon, however, if you pass this one up another one is sure to pop up. HTH

Check out GunsAmerica.com. I bought a 17-3 in excellent condition for $300 and a 1947 K-22 in very good condition for $325.
