Price Check on Smith 19-2..

A local shop has a 19-2 for sale, and is asking $320.00.
It's a 1966 vintage with a 4 inch barrel. Condition would rate a solid 98% on the metal but the target grips (wrong ones...no diamond) are in tough shape. Action is smooth and lock up is tight with very little wiggle room.
Owner said he would sell it for $300.00 plus tax. I've bought 3 other Smiths from him, and his discount is always been about $20.00. He is usually a fair guy to deal with. He may have too much in to the piece to sell for any less.
What do you all think?

Good price from my experience of looking around a bunch locally last year, and being in Southeast Missouri I can't live too far from you. From my search I think the days of finding quality $300 model 19's and 15's may be coming to an end sooner rather than later.

Frankly even though I've got a 19-4 sitting in the safe I'm still tempted by that one. If you decide you don't want it let me know where it's at. Guess that tells you my opinion of what you should do huh? ;)
