Price Check on a Sig 239 in 9mm

About a month ago, I paid about $460 for a NIB P239 9mm at Carter's Country in Houston, Texas. It was supposedly on sale.

BTW, I don't know where Bob shops, but anything under $450 for a new (or used) Sig in Texas is mythical. Maybe some desperate seller at a gunshow, but... I've shopped in DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston areas.

The shop where I worked in Virginia sold them NIB for $419. That was a year ago though, which is why I went up to $450.

I knew ol' Bill had good prices. Maybe I didn't know HOW good!

No listing of the P239 on Bill's page. He's offering the P220 NIB for $600. How does that compare with what others are getting?

Bob,
Where in Virginia did you work? I am in Northern Virginia and wouldn't mind finding a p239 at this price.

thanks.

Sgt Pepper,

$450 sounds about right for the Houston area. Almost a year ago, I was shopping for a SIG 239. At that time, Carters Country wanted $525 (regular price). I ended up buying one at a gun show (from Doc Walthers) for $425 NIB (of course, that was a year ago). Carters Countrys "regular" prices on most guns are ridiculously high; however, their weekly sales prices are much more competitive.

By the way, if you don't like the factory grips on the P239, Hogue makes a very nice finger groove style (fits my hand just right).

We're in CA AAChang, we're gonna be gouged no matter what. Hmm, does this post have anything to do with those 239's we saw the other day?

BTW, I think I'm gonna break down and get a letter from the rangemaster. It's only been a day and it's killing me!! I want my new gun!!!

I may have been wrong about that price. It may have been $479 and I misread it.

The shop where I worked was in Virginia Beach. It's called The Armory. Best gun shop in SE Virginia (at least).
