price check on a model 65

I've got a chance to buy a stainless steel model 65... excellent condition, 1980's era manufacture... for $230. I'm not up on revolver prices.... is that a steal?

I have a Model 65 3" and 4" barrel S&W. I paid around $300 apiece for them about 4 years ago. So, here in VA it is a good price. I guess price is relevant though.:)

This one has a four inch, pinned barrel :) I had a feeling the price is good, but I wanted to double check before I bought it an someone said "dude! You can buy those things by the crate for $150 each!" or something hehe

I'd still like feedback from people about the particular gun, price checks, opinions, etc. =) Thanks!

Here in "The Deep South" we are more acustomed
to seeing the 4" barrel S&W model 65, than we are
the 3" version. $230 buck's for a Smith & Wesson
model 65 certainly sounds like a good price to me!:D

Just picked up one last week for $230 in an online auction. Damn thing doesn't have a scratch on it, no rings cylinder, perfect wood. It's like new ... and came with all the tools.

Damn ... I bought it to be a "shooter" ... but can't bring myself to shooting it.

Guess I need to buy another one ... ha.ha

:D  :p ;)
