Howdy! I had to do a couple days work in another city last week and after work the first day stopped in their gunshop for a look-see. (Dangerous thing for me to do, as I am sure all of you can understand.)Long story short, I was able to resist the M1 Garand and FAL's they had on display but when checking out a Carbon-15 I spotted something on the wall that had always been mythic to me - a for-real Galil ARM.
After much rationalization I ended up leaving the store with her.
Galil ARM .223: preban (or course) with folding stock, bipod (bottle opener), bayonet lug, GORGEOUS wood furniture, factory scope mount and red-dot scope, Action Arms GALIL marked carry bag, and 8 35-rnd mags (7 orlite, 1 steel.) It appears to be nearly unfired if not that, still has cosmoline on parts of the barrel under the furniture with no dirt or dust stuck to it.
I've been searching but can't find a recent price on such a beast, can anybody give me a clue? I saw on Bower's board in January somebody selling one with one mag for $2300 I think. I paid just under $2500 for the whole shebang.
LOVE IT! It is wonderful to shoot, though I found out (in front of friends of course) that it doesn't feed 7.62x39 ammo (well, it LOOKS like my AK kinda).
