Price Check For Rem700VLS

Thanks to everyone who posted on my threads regarding my quest for a .243 Varmint rifle.
Just one more thing.
Can anyone give me price check for a Rem700vls?
I was quoted $585+ tax at a local dealer. Seems kind of high.
Also, a check on a Tikka Sporter, I'm still waiting on quote from the dealer.

Sounds a bit high but the Remington VS and VLS rifles are becoming pretty scarce for some reason. If you can pick it up or you might have to wait. Did you ask any other dealers or shops? You might be able to find one cheaper but like I said they're in short supply and high demand lately.

Dealer costs are $490.95, this does NOT include S/I to dealer and ZERO profit.

What is a Tikka Sporter? Are you talking about the Model 596 Sporter? If so, dealer costs are $670.00, again w/o S/I and zero profit. BTW it does not come in 243. Only 223/22-250/308.
