Price check '71 win 94

Looking for a price check on a ca. 1971 winchester 94 in 30-30. Rifle is in near new condition but lacks packaging / etc.

Personally looking around 400-500 seems to be the norm, am I off on this? I hope to purchase at the low end of this spectrum with a very much unwanted pistol included in the trade.

I am not a collector, looking for a good, traditional shooter that may rise rather than fall in value and was made here.

The post-64 Model 94s generally sell from $350-$450. If you pay $500 for one that is not an XTR (better finish and good cut checkering), you are being taken for a ride.
 
I agree with the above. I believe I could pick up a pretty clean one here in MO for around $350, given a little time.
