I saw a 25-2 45acp today. The shop was asking $425 for it. I was wondering if this was a fair price. Lock up was tight, and looked good mechanically. Almost no finish wear. It was a 6" blue model.

So long as the pistol is in good condition, then that's a GREAT price. I paid $536 after taxes for mine last fall.

No, that's a HORRIBLE price, MD!

You need to give me the shops phone number at once so I can give them a VERY stern talking to! :D

I know that shop well, MD.

I used to stop there regularly when I was married to the ex-hellhound and we'd go to visit her extended family of jackals, hyenas, and banshees....

They wiped a lot of my drool off of those counters over the years...

And you're a dribbler, Pops. :)

It's Kittery Trading Post, just inside of Maine over the New Hampster border.

First time I went there we were living in Washington, DC. No guns. I was in mental anguish. :)

Kittery ? ? ? Never HEARD of it

AND don't trust them. Although the 5 guns I've gotten from them still reside at my place............SHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-dewey

bought a 25-2 about 15 years ago, model of 1955,shots like a dream with 200 lswc over 4.0 bullseye. best d---m 45acp i've ever shot.wife calls it her's. finally found a 625-3,model 1988, 4" almost as good. wouldn't part with either one.really like the round butt best of all N frames though.

I can sympathise! Found myself in there when I was on holiday a few years back, you can't imagine the pain I suffered having to leave that shop and return to the UK where the average "gun shop" contains a few air rifles :(
