Price Check #2 -- S&W Combat Magnum

New member
A friend of mine has an older (late 70's or early 80's) S&W handgun that he is thinking of selling.

He said it is a short barrel (under 3 inches) "Combat Magnum" with a NICKEL finish (he could not recall the model number off hand). It is in very good to excellent condition with under 30 rounds fired through it.

What would be a fair price for this revolver?

Thanks for your opinions.

The Combat Magnum is the M19

The piece you are looking at is most likely a 2 1/2" Model 19. These were made in both blue and nickel, and were round butted in this barrel length.
Prices for a clean one can vary from $275 - 350, I'd say if you can get it for $300 or less, you are doing great.
Fine firearm!
