I went to the local Walmart super center today. I noticed they had 50 round boxes of American Eagle 40 gr. 22lr for $2.47 a box. I bought 12 but left plenty behind for the next guy. The next guy might be my neighbor I told him and he was going to jump in his car and head down that way.
 
I have done a little better on line. But if you only want a box or two it's pretty good. I know I picked up more then a box or two. I was replacing ammo I shot up.

I was right my neighbor was the next guy. He picked up 8 boxes.
 
Lots of .22lr available at walmart and other stores. I have more than enough for now, so I haven't been price shopping. Just wondering what all those .22lr opportunists are going to do with their hoards?

Ok something big has happed, and it happend recently.

You're right 22lr is BACK.

The Federal 550 packs was in stock.. that's what I use to buy.
Box has changed.. price I think dropped (although still more then double the last time I bought one)

22.73, even after local tax that's not a bad (today) price.

They had like 8 boxes in so I know something serious must have changed recently.
First I've seen in quite a few years actually.
