Presidential Executive Orders

There has been some discussion on the Presidential Executive Order (EO), what it is, how it works and what they cover. Here is an address that will lead you through the various EOs by number and date. They cover all EOs from 1953.

Many of the EOs that are discussed here on the subject od Emergency Preparedness (like EOs 11000, 11001, 11002, etc [1962 Kennedy]) have been rescinded by subsequent EOs and this information is listed at the site. WHen were the first EO's issued??? Knowing when the first started would be very interesting to know indeed.

Executive Orders will receive close attention in the next 4 years. Clinton was the most bald-faced in his abuse but all presidents engaged in what I consider unconstitutional usurpion of power.

Dubya will no doubt comb through Clinton's latest EO's. I feel confident that a number will be cancelled or screwed up in some way. Chance of congressional action to fix the system disappeared the "Buffy" Lott's power sharing agreement. How in the hell can anyone be a stoopid as that man!

I sincerely hope that Clinton's EO last year regarding the importation/exportation of firearms-related material to Canada from the US is lifted. That was a devastating move by the Americans against Canadian gun owners, which did us no favours at all. What hypocracy.
