I came across a post on 1911forum.com stating that they hated the gun bashing and that the best guns are the ones that work for you. Well my sentiments exactly. What guns do TFL members use for certain ocasions?
Favorite centerfire plinker Sig220 .45ACP

all around gun Glock 19(high caps)
Race gun it probably would be
a cz clone in .357sig

Have to apologize to the 1911 and Single action people. Always thought that they were not ideal(too old, dangerous,etc). Things changed when I handled a BHP and a worked over 1911. I am now a fan of a single action autos(not defense revolvers).
After buying a 1911 and BHP I am comfortable with the cocked and locked. I apologize for my ignorance. Don't get me wrong still like all other autos, especially Sigs.

PS I hung around this and other forums for quite a while before I ever started posting anything. I have to say that this is one of the most civil and friendly forum out there, but that kind of reputation is hard to keep with growth.

Concealed Carry: Glock 26

All around gun: Glock 19

Race gun: Glock 34

Bullseye: Glock 34

CCW#2: My American Derringer .44 lately seems to wind up in my pocket (as a back up to the above) every time I leave the house. :confused:

Target: S&W Model 57, 6" .41 mag.

Night stand: S&W Model 29, 6" & Mossberg 7 shot 12 gauge.

Contantly always in arms reach the 6" model 29. I recently finished a custom model 29 snubby and I'm really trying to warm up to it but................

Revolver: S&W, just about ANY S&W, but great preference goes to my Model 19s.

Plinker: S&W 22S with a ProPoint 3 red dot scope or Ruger 10/22T with 4-16 scope, with ammo in 500 round boxes from Wal-Mart.

Ultra small concealed carry: PSP-25. Looking at a Kel-Tec .32, though.

Ankle rig: S&W 342ti in a Galco rig. Model 60 and PPK are honorable mentions.

Concealed Carry: Close call between Glock 23 with LaserMax, and the Walther P99 in 9mm.

Race gun: Stainless Beretta 92.

Home Defense: Para-Ordnance P13.45 stainless. Also, Remington Marine Magnum.

Office Defense: Sig 229.

Gun to impress my friends: Colt Anaconda in .44 Magnum. Also, Carbon-15 type 97.

All around gun: See "concealed carry" above.

The "When the you know what hits the fan" gun: Colt AR-15 Sporter with 4x scope.
