PREDATOR Holster-Rip Off!

I bought a Predator holster, loved it, and then it broke. The belt loop came apart on it. Called to get it replaced with my lifetime guarentee, and guess what? No answer, no answer, no answer, and after two weeks I threatened to call the BBB and got a call back! Guy said he'd send another one that day.

That was three and a half weeks ago. No holster, no answer, no nothing! I heard this guy is back in business as he was bought out by another company.

I would strongly provide my endorsement against Predator holsters. This is the worst customer service, which is why Shooters World won't carry his stuff anymore. I hope no one at this point gets stuck with one, and if it breaks on you, go buy another maker as you won't be seeing a new one from Predator.

Predator is no longer in business. Not worth crying about. Buy another holster from someone else. Most of us have drawers of holsters that don't work because of us. One holster that doesn't work because of them doesn't matter much.

FWIW I have a Kydex holster from a top name company. Doesn't work either and they haven't responded and they are in business. I don't think I will be buying from them anytime soon.

Aren't these holsters in the $25-$40 range? Not very much to expect from a low priced holster. The old adage is "you get what you pay for". and it holds true all too often. Seems to happen alot where someone will be all concerned and research what gun they'll carry, save and save for it, buy it - spending good money - only to then purchase a inexpensive holster for it. Kinda like parking your new Ferrari in a tar paper shack. While you're out a holster, chaulk it up to a lesson learned and find something better. You'll proberly be glad this one broke.

Nope, mine was 55 bucks.

That's still a inexpensive holster and again it comes back to getting what you pay for. It pays to stick with reputable persons/businesses. It usually costs more up front for thier wares but in the long run it's less costly.

Understood, and 55 is alot to me at this time with the new baby. That in mind, if 55 is still entry price I would like others to know to take their money elsewhere.

Thanks for the input everyone. Happy shopping for the holidays. Hope you get many nice guns.

I got a custom holster made by the guy who was running Predator, for my Ruger sp101 3", left handed IWB.

He was operating essentially out of a trailer, outside of Caswell's gun shop in Mesa, AZ.

You might try calling Caswell's and seeing if you can get a hold of him there. I don't remember the guy's name, but he was really fast making my custom holster. Took my revolver out to his trailer, and in about 10-15 minutes came back with a custom fitted kydex holster. Cool.
