Precision load work up question

When working up a load for precision shooting and you are using secant ogive bullets do you want to find seating depth first or do your ladder test first and then find the proper seating depth? It is my understanding that all secant ogive bullets are picky about seating depth. I am still new to precision loading although I have mess with it a little before. Thanks.

This is just me YMMV, but I start all new loads at .02" off the lands. I shoot my Ladder test or OCW test, then go from there. Once I find my charge weight, then I start fine tuning the OAL to tighten it up.

Should probably mention the rifle is an ar15 223 wylde. The bullets in question are hornady 75 grain BTHP match bullets. I'm using H335 as that is all I can get currently. But thanks for the advice.

I do as post#2 say's also. Get your primer, powder and bullet weight set and then follow post 2. After you find the powder charge and do the OAL to get the best, Then you can start tweaking the load for final perfection.
