Pre or Post Ban Oly Lower?

I am thinking of trading for a AR M-4 type clone built on an Oly lower this shorty runs well and I have shot it many times it functions flawlessly. My friend that built the rifle said he purchased the lower in 1994 and he said he does not know if it is a pre ban or post ban . does any of you know where I can find the cut off serial numbers for pre ban Oly lowers. I need this info Please help.

i ran across an Oly the other day which was a preban and i called them in Washington state and they confirmed for me--you may want to try the same--by the way i think their postbans have the year in front of the Ser# but don't take my word for it...Dick
