Pre '64 Winchester 94 value

I don't know the exact year of manufacturer, but I'm thinking about a 94 in really nice shape, maybe NRA 90% or so. I've looked at a few typical sights but curious what your thoughts are regarding its value. It is in fact a pre '64 model in 30-30, no extra holes and original sights. Thanks for your thoughts.

Need more info. Pre-'64. OK. Pre-war or post-war? Carbine or rifle? You think it would be around 90%?

If it is a 90% post-war pre-'64 carbine in 30-30 (the most common 94 out there), it could bring $500-$600, depending on geographical demand. Most are $400-ish.

If it is a 90% pre-war rifle in 25-35, it could bring $2,000-$3,000.

It's post war, standard 20" carbine, no saddle ring. If it makes a difference, it's in the Louisville, KY area.

Wow, they're asking $900! It is better than 90% however. Bluing is nearly like new and just a few minor marks on the wood. Still seems extraordinarily high. Thanks for the feedback.

$900 is way too much and $400 would be a steal around here. Somewhere around $500 seems fair to me, at least here. The problem is that EVERYONE has heard that pre-64's are desirable and valuable. Not so. Some are, some are just another 50+ year old rifle. The pre-64 model 70's are much more sought after than 94's and most of them are only worth $600-$700.

But as long as people pay those inflated prices there will be someone who will ask for it. As people get better educated about such things it is getting harder to sell them at those prices.
