What would be a fair value for a Pre '64 Model 94 carbine with full magazine and factory checkered straight grip stock and forend in 32 Win Special caliber? Average Very Good Condition - not a cherry. Thanks!
Many sporting rifles get a few nicks and dings in routine use but are cleaned religiously. Bore condition in a .32 Special is pretty crucial, from all I read. While a .30-30 may continue doing pretty well with a mediocre bore, a .32 Special's accuracy goes south in a big hurry. Frank Barnes, in Cartridges of the World writes you can't hit "a flock of barns" with a rough-bored .32.
I read that too, Johnny. I get a big laugh out of some of Barnes' comments in his great reference book. I was just looking at it out of nostalgia. I have plenty of deer rifles.
