Looking for a good area for chickens and grouse.
I'm not looking to horn in on anybody, just a place to bring a small group for a few days.

Just down the left fork there is a road off to the left that crosses a creek.

Go to mapquest and type in Sturgis, SD.

- After the map comes up, go to arial view.

- Make a straight line between Strugis and New Underwood.

- Find the halfway mark. This the heart of good partridge hunting.

- In SD, you can hunt the land between shoulder of road and fence line. This is considered a public section line or right of way.

- SD has abundant "Walk In" areas for public to hunt. Contact Game, Fish, and Parks through state website for free Atlas.

I like to hunt with a good springer spaniel but you can do well without a dog, too.
