Just bought a new toy, a Vaquero in .32 H&R mag. What other factory ammo (I'm not a reloader) can I use in this sixgun? .32 S&W Long? .32 auto with halfmoon clips? Or...?
Don't know if the 32 auto with half-moon clips will work but no problem with 32 S&W Long or 32 H&R Mag. I normally go with the 32H&R Mag since the price for the 32 S&W Long is only .50 cheaper for a box of 50 if I get them from Georgia Arms. I normally save my brass and send it off to Bullseye Shooting Supplies for reloading.
The 32 auto (7.65 Browning) has a semi-rimmed case, and in my experience with a 32 H&R Magnum chambered Ruger Single-Six, will chamber and fire just fine. It's like shooting a 22, low bullet weight and velocity.
