Back when PPC was in vogue, it was not uncommon for PD armorers to make PPC revolvers using a Model 14 frame (easier to deal with sights), a custom bull barrel, a one-piece rib (containing both front and rear sights), beveled cylinder chambers, and a trigger job. Since there was no such thing as "power factor," the standard round was a .38 Special loaded with 158-grain SWCs pushed by 2.7 grains of Bullseye.
I have a photo of a PPC revolver made by the late Jack Brosnahan, Bedford (MA) PD, but I can't figure out how to make the file small enough to meet this forum's 2.44 kB file size limit.
