PPC Barrel weight underlug SCORE for 686 629 heavy underlug shroud

Me and a friend here in Sweden started up small serie produktion of barrel weight / underlug for Smith & wesson 686 629 in extrem quality stainless steel 2333 to give ppc shooters an alternative to changing the barrel just to increase the weight. We make them in both satin and polished version and can also customdesign a personal lasergravyr instead of the standard logo if
anyone want to do that. No drilling needed it fits right to the gun and are secured with 4 allen screws with brass top so the gun don´t get damaged. Below some pictures of it. put on / take of in 30 seconds!
Have a stupid question! What is the correct english name on this type of weight? Can´t say i´m brilliant on english as you can read.

Power Custom already has one on the market. And it's vented. Aside from the custom laser etching, what makes yours better?

Also, the frame end of the underlug is simply cut square, but it results in a poor fit between the underlug and frame. It'd like to see that fit better.

Finally, who makes that cylinder release latch?

plenty of 686 owners can be found at

Your English is MUCH better than what the public education system has taught our kids. Certain kids are allowed to graduate high school at 8th grade level. They do not want to offend them by failing them ....(rant over)

Big difference! No need of drilling in the underlug! It ´stays in place anyway!
You can shoot Distingudshed revolver ´without and Revolver 1500 with the score weight and use the same gun if you want. Just take it off in seconds!
You are not allowed to shoot Distingished match with modified revolver wich it is with drilled holes in the underlug!
And the 686 revolver with score fits in common holsters like Sickinger Speed Machine and more becouse it doesn´t become to big on the revolver.
We started making these weight´s because there´s no need of changing barrel on a PPC1500 revolver because Smith´s original barrel has enough precision on 50 yards. It´s for the extra weight people change barrels in PPC.
and that is unnecessarily expensive! Put it on the triggerjob instead.
And there are both satin and polished versions so they really match the gun!
And i don´t get the idea of a vented weight! Its for a revolver not a machine gun! It´s just loosing weight.

We are not a company! so how can it be direct advertising on the forum???

I'd call that a heavy underlug shroud. In the US, when the barrel or shroud of a revolver is weighted in a manner that's well integrated to the design, we'll use the term 'heavy' (e.g. 'heavy barrel' ). If the weight is conspicuously attached, as an accessory, it's simply a barrel weight.

Could I get one without the tribal engraving and have the 'score' logo moved to the area below the ejector rod? I think that would look alot better.

OT: but what are those replacement base pins for Ruger SA for? Could someone enlighten me?

great looks

This looks like a lovely piece of engineering. I'll definitely look you up when i get my 686 next month. What would be the cost of a custom engraved for a 6" barrel? Also, is the other stuff on the S&W of your own making and is there some catalogue online or a pdf you could maybe email me?

Thanks.

PS. Next time you're in Greece ouzo's on me ^_^

The sight is from Wichita arms in US! 4 set sight rib in steel and the weight makes the gun wonderful to shoot with! Just mail me if anyone is intrested.
We eill continue making them!

Makes me want to go out and buy a 686.:D

Looks cool and impractical, that makes it more cooler.

Don't need it, but love it, like a hooker in Vegas.

Sold them to customers in Ireland, US, Australia and Norway and still only satisfied shooters with the SCORE barrelweight. If someone buys one and is not satisfied we will buy it back. We still make them.
