I am struggling finding load data using power pistol powder for lead cast bullets. I contacted Alliance and they were less than helpful, but they recommended me check out lymans cast bullet handbook 4th edition. If anyone has this reloading manual can you check on the load data for lead cast bullets and power pistol? even better if there is data could you post a picture of the page that its found on? I am weary of hand typed load data because its so easy to have a typo.

Thanks!

Pressures with lead bullets will be lower than similar weight jacketed bullets for a given powder charge. In the absence of any other data, I would look at mid to low range starting loads for a same weight jacketed bullet and work up from there. You will have to match bullet hardness to muzzle velocity to assure obturation to control leading.

I like Power Pistol in 9mm, and have loaded a lot of 115g Hi Tek coated bullets with it. I'm away from the shop now, so can't relay the charge I used.

I cast a NOE 124 gr. TC bullet from 50/50 and sized to .357". It's similar to the RCBS 124 gr. CN listed in the Lyman Cast Bullet manual. I use the starting load of 5.0 grs. PP in my CANIK TP9SA an couldn't ask for a better shooting load.

I set the OAL to my pistol barrel which is just a couple thousands longer than that listed for the RCBS bullet. I have a Ruger BH that shoots 9mm as well so I use the GC bullet in it on occasion. The plain base bullet PC'ed or just using regular lube shoots just fine with no leading at all in either.
