Powder

Does anyone know anything about EXPANSION INDUSTRIES powder?
They claim it to be like Hodogon Tite Group

NO, but it could be exactly TiteGroup, since Hodgdon doesn't make the powder--they are a re-lableler and distributor.

Titegroup is most certainly not a spherical propellant and although I don't have a can in front of me, it occurs to me that most Hodgdon powders are products of Austrailia, I would imagine Titegroup is as well.

Titegroup is a "Spherical" powder because that is the Hodgdon trademark for powder produced for them by the Ball Process at St Marks Powder in Florida.

The granules have been rolled flat to adjust their burn rate so they look like flakes to those who let their imaginations run away with them.

Haha, "imagination", okay. I don't think that is the accurate word to describe my perception of Titegroup, but I will play along AND admit defeat.

I have four different containers of Titegroup (three 1's and a four) and none of them claim that it is a flake or spherical, which I found curious since my H4895 specifically says that it is "small extruded" and my H335 absolutely claims that it is "spherical."

So I went to my 2015 Hodgdon Manual and on page 34 there is a glossy photo of three different powders for loading 9mm Luger on there is a very clear picture of a 1-lb Titegroup can and it does say on the label that "this spherical powder is ideal..."

Thus, I admit my failure above. :o

But...
Imagination?! :confused::rolleyes:

Perception!
I mean for the luvva.... look at the stuff. Lightweight, ultra-thin flakes.

Hey, you were the one who said "I would imagine Titegroup is as well."

But don't feel alone. I load HP38/W231 and have read how it is a "flake" powder, too. No, it isn't, it is also a Ball powder rolled flat.

If you want a can of teeny little BBs, look at the Accurate Arms powders.
