Storage of explosives.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to explosives; permitting the storage of
2 smokeless propellants in residences in limited quantities;
3 and providing for an effective date.

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

7 Section 1. W.S. 35-10-301 is amended to read:
8
9 35-10-301. General regulations.

11 (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this
12 section, it shall be unlawful for any person or company to
13 store any gunpowder or any other explosive material at a
14 less distance than one thousand (1,000) feet from any house
15 or habitation, when more than fifty (50) pounds are stored
16 at the same place; but it shall be unlawful to place or to

1 keep any powder or other explosive material, in any house
2 or building occupied as a residence, or any outbuilding
3 pertaining thereto.

5 (b) Smokeless propellants intended for personal use
6 in quantities not exceeding twenty (20) pounds may be
7 stored in original containers in a house or building
8 occupied as a residence or any outbuilding pertaining
9 thereto.

11 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2009.
