Don't wanna blow up my Winchester!

I load for an Improved .348 Winchester. Two powders that are listed in the manuals are IMR 4320 and Win. 760. I have a lot of H Leverevolution. On the Relative Burn Rate chart, Leverevolution is almost midway between 4320 and W760. None of the manuals list loads for the HLVR. Hornady replied that they could not recommend a load. Hodgdon never answers my emails. Any suggestions as to how I can determine a safe starting load with the H-LVR?

Select your caliber, either of the two bullet weights, and Hodgdon powders. View the result and note that Hodgdon identifies 7 of their powders for that caliber, and Leverevolution is not one of them.
If the maker of a powder does not offer loading data using your powder and caliber, then don't do it. Get one of the 7 H-powders that are good for it.

You cannot use relative burn rates to determine if a powder and caliber are compatible. Further, you CANNOT extrapolate load date from relative burn rates. There are many more variables operating (pressure curves, loading density, burn temp, volume of expanding gases, etc.). You can only determine safe loads by researching, and using, only published loads.
