POTUS race - I don't get it

Watching talking heads on teevee - why in the heck are NM, IA, and WI shown in white or other color on the electoral college maps, rather than red or blue? Did they just STILL don't know yet who won those states, or what? I thought Bush won NM and IA both (don't know about WI).

Iowa's counting machines broke, they should be done sometime today. NM SoS said they wern't going to finish counting ballots until sometime today.

Last report I heard WI was within 12,000 votes out of 3,000,000 plus. It may trigger an automatic recount.

Who notes the radio newsies sound tired as all heck.

Wisconson? You'e quite wrong. ;)
CNN called it for Kerry before dawn. They still have it in his column; while Ohio was still showing "too close to call" well after the AP reported that Kerry called the Pres to concede.

I think they had to wait until Judy Woodruff left the studio. :D

Dan Rather has just announced that CBS is prepared to call Texas for Bush...............

Ya, but he did qualify it with the, "the CNN/CBS crowd is still to be counted". " Who knows what will happen when the REAL people vote, comes in"?!!! :D

CAPNRIK........your post is hilarious.....right on the money....P.S.- I am also ashamed the Dixie Chicks are from Texas....especially that little FAT one with the FOOT-IN-MOUTH disease, that seems to run so rampant throughout the CELEBRITY world. Maybe we should send TOBY KEITH to straighten them out HUH ????

This is a perennial problem in NM. I've lived here all my life, and it is the same every election. "greater turnout than expected" "count not computerized" "new computer count system has glitches" Have to qualify provisional ballots" and on and on....

....And somehow they always seem to "find" the votes the political machine wants. Former UN ambassador, Gov Richardson, all but promised to deliver NM to Kerry. AAAnd I have an uneasy feeling he will, even though it's now a moot point.

Our Att'y Gen says "middle of next week, we'd rather be right than fast." :barf:
