Potential Modifications to Sig P228

What are the potential modifications that can be done to a Sig P228 including barrel replacement.

I am not trying to be a smart**s, but other than night sights why would you need to modify it? Mine is excellent as is.
My one complaint is that the hump on the left side of the grip wont let me use a high thumb grip.

What is jeweling barrel hood? and i forgot about the short trigger. I have a short trigger on my P229.

The shiney flat surface on the top of the barrel hood that shows through the ejection port is where it is done. Jeweling is also called 'engine turning'. It is a series of small 'circles' of polishing that overlap. Linburgh's plane the Spirit of St. Louis had it's front cowl finish like that.
