Nice looking gun. How much did you get raped for? (Around here Mil-Spec Colt's go for about the same price as a Kimber Custom Clasic because it has a pony on the side. )

A Horse is a Horse, of Course, of Course...

Congratulations, Rik!

I don't mean to be a putz but since I've known you you seem to be more and more drawn to the DARK SIDE. :) Hartford Horsey Pistols rule! (Sorry, had to say it!)

I got a Gold Cup just like that with checkered Black Ebony grips. Mmm-good! Love smooth Colt grips. They really feel good. I had smoothys on a blue Super 38 that I recently sold. :(

Hope you enjoy yer new toy! :D

G, I have always liked Colts. The first 1911 I ever owned was a pre-WW2 military issue Colt, and the first one I ever fired was a Gold Cup. I am just glad they are finally again producing good pistols for a reasonable price.
I still like and will always like Kimbers, but the Colts I own have something that I like aesthetically that no one else has...the ribbed slide. It's just cosmetics, I know, but I dig it. :D
