Possible Barrel Pitting in HK full size 9mm

I have an HK 9mm with less than 500 rounds through it. I clean it at the end of each shooting session. At the end of my last cleaning I noticed two spots in my barrel that wouldn't come off. I scrubbed and scrubbed with a bore brush and solvent and it didn't do anything. I soaked it in a vinegar peroxide solution and that did nothing. I used a plastic dental tool to try and feel is the spots are above or below the surface of the bore. It feels like they are below the surface but I am not sure. I have only shot Sellier and Bellot and Wincester ammo through it. I was reading over at glocktalk and some people have pitting in their barrels and some don't. I guess my question is: Is this normal and if it is not then would it get worse.

Barrels are strange creatures. I have seen what appear to be pits or other defects in NEW guns. With used, it can also be a bit of fouling which can be hard to remove at times. I've had some shooting clear it up however. If the barrel is badly pitte it still will shoot pretty food and you may not notice a change.
I've had badly pitted bores shoot just fine. A pit or two shouldn't have much effect. I'd geet a bore light and try to look closer or other lighted source and figure it out. With modern ammo hard, to find much for corrosion and it takes a lot of neglect to produce a pit which doesn't sound like the case. The last thing is we will never know which is a common concept with guns. Wish they were more absolute. One reason I love commie guns which almost always have chrome bores. With guns getting harder to get and more expensive, having bores chromed isn't a bad idea. Cheap insurance.

pluspinc; if it's shoots "pretty food," then this guy does have a problem.
