Possession of a handgun by an individual under 21.

I'm 18. I have a rifle and shotgun that I regularly shoot. If my father purchases a handgun, and 'loans' it to me to take to the range, lets me clean it, keep it at my house, etc, would I be breaking any laws?

I've looked over Florida's statutes on this sort of thing, and I don't see anything prohibiting a person who is 18-21 from possessing a handgun, there are only laws governing the SALE of handguns.

This seems like an interesting loophole that allows a person who is not 21 to have all the pleasures of owning a handgun, except for getting their CCW and purchasing ammo.

Any comments, possible concerns?

In Indiana, you could have a CCL at your age. I can't find my copy of the federal pamphlet that came with the last gun I bought, but I'm pretty sure it said 18 and not 21.
