Does anyone port rifle barrels like the ports on the Marlin Guide Gun? 4 round ports at the 10 & 2 o'clock position. I'm looking to reduce muzzle jump on a .416 Rem Mag.
I called Mag-Na-Port, but was told they only did the Mag-Na-Port process on rifles. From what I've heard, the ports on Mag-Na-Port are to small on a large bore rifle to have much effect.
The Mag-Na-Port rep kept trying to sell me on the Mag-Na-Brake, but I told him a lot of guides and PH's despise muzzle brakes on clients guns. And I don't really mind the recoil from my .416 , I just want to reduce muzzle jump for a faster follow-up shot if needed.
