My next N Frame will be the four-inch, full-underlug, 610 in 10mm/.40 S&W. I like the 10mm load for defensive applications, and I am pleased that there is a low-cost “companion” round (the .40 S&W) for target/plinking use (same advantage as .357 magnum/.38 Special).
Obviously, the 610 requires moon clips. Rather than standard steel half- or full-moon clips, I have been considering the use of RIMZ (or other) polymer clips that do not necessitate the use of mooning and de-mooning tools.
So two questions for our experts:
a) How do the plastic clips compare to the more-traditional steel ones?
b) If I select plastic, what brand should I use?
Thanks and regards -- Roy
