Polymer CZ75 Compact (9mm)

I currently own a CZ-83 in 9x18, and I love the way it shoots. Really accurate, feels good in my hands, etc. Okay, on with the main subject: I am planing on buying a CZ 75 Compact in 9x19mm. I have searched the other posts and have not found anything about the polymer model that is offered on Cz USA's website. Does this reduce the weight on this model compared to the all steel version? Alright, any info is welcome!

Thanks,

I think the only polymer on the CZ web site is the CZ100. It seems like I read somewhere that there is an updated version coming out soon. I don't think either of these are too similar to the CZ-75. I think the polymer CZs are double action only and compete with Glocks, Sigmas, etc. I haven't heard too much about them and am not too interested.

If you want a lighter, more compact CZ-75, check out the PCR model. I have one and like it a lot. It has an aluminum alloy frame to save some weight and is a very well-designed and made gun. It isn't as light as as polymer pistols, but it is quite a bit lighter than the steel-framed compacts.

If you really want a CZ-75 style gun in polymer, you might want to check out the EAA Witness line. They make polymer-framed pistols based on the CZ-75 design. I don't have any experience with them, but most people seem happy with their Witness pistols. If they made a compact polymer in 10mm, I'd want one. For a 9mm, I'm happy with my PCR.

Oh, sorry, I meant "polymer finished" CZ75 Compact. Yeah, I have heard of the CZ-100 (and that it's trigger fu***ng sucks!)But thank you very much for the suggestion of the 'PCR' model. I will look into it.
