Poly Tech National Match AK?

Saw one today at the gun show, and the guy wanted $1,200. Seems like one heck of a big price.

This is a milled receiver, marked 'National Match', Poly Tech AK/S, with a 'machine gun' barrel (RPK), and longer than usual stock. Pre-ban, NIB, and a pretty good looking AK.

However, I was also curious about this concept. I've heard of it, but a 'National Match' AK sounds almost as logical as 'military intelligence' or 'jumbo shrimp'. ;)

Anyone here familiar with these rifles?

Can't say much about the concept of a NM AK ;) But they did import some. I think KFS imported all the Preban Polytech Legend series.
The price is probably about the going rate for one.
 
All Polytech's have the heavy barrel.The NM has a 20 inch barrel.Other than that it's no different than any other Polytech.$1200 seems to be the going price,but I've seen then in the $8-900 range to.
