This morning's Rasmussen poll at http://www.portraitofamerica.com/ has Bush up by 7 points (Bush 48%, Gore 41%, Nader 4%). That's outside the margin of error.

The voter.com Battleground poll has Bush up by 9 (Bush 46%, Gore 37%, Nader 5%).

Zogby is much closer: Bush 46%, Gore 44%, Nader 5%.

USA TODAY/Gallup/CNN shows Bush 47%, Gore 43%

ABC News: Bush 49%, Gore 45%, Nader 3%

The Bad news is that Rasmussen has Hillary 48%, Lazio 40%. Does anyone here know if New York requires an absolute majority (50% + 1 vote) to win the Senate race or just a plurality?

An amusing tidbit: Gore is now comparing himself to Moses. (Maybe he invented the 10 Commandments too?). From USA Today at http://www.usatoday.com/news/e98/e3167.htm#readmore :
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>''Do not confuse the journey with the destination,'' said Gore. We have left Egypt, but we have not yet arrived in Canaan. We've got a long way to go.''[/quote]

Get out and VOTE!!

-- Memphis, Tennessee resident Gina Cushon, quoted in Laura Ingraham's book "The Hillary Trap"

I hope it widens soon because I think that a lot of Nader voters are going to change for Gore if it is close. If it appears that Gore cannot win I believe more Gore voters will vote for Nader. They will do this because they want to send a statement to the Democrats as a point if they believe Gore cannot win.
Please everyone get out and vote. I believe that this is one of the most important votes in over 45 years for the future of our rights as U.S. citizens and our children. It is our only option to protect our rights in a democracy.
