I would like to take a poll of common issues that arise with specific pistols by manufacturer. This is not intended as a bash session. I only want to know what I might expect from the purchase of one of these guns. I am interested in any issues that might have happened since you purchased this weapon. If you have only put a few rounds in or have only experienced the problem once, I would suggest not listing it as a real problem. I am hoping for feedback from a number of people who have put hundreds/thousands of rounds over a long period of time. Also, if you purchased the gun used and or tampered with, please refrain from submitting a vote.

Please check off the areas you have experienced trouble with your pistol

In general, Kimber makes excellent 1911A1 type semiautomatics. My stainless Custom/Classic is outstanding, but it jammed/failed-to-fire about 2 percent of the time -- until I replaced the factory magazine with Wilson eight round magazines. Since that time, it has been flawless.

MANY 1911A1 reliability problems are attributable to poor factory mags; Wilsons seem to solve all such troubles.

Constant failures to lock the slide back when the mag is empty. The same after a trip back to the factory.

I hit the wrong button. I meant to enter Magazine into the poll.

The only problem I have with the trigger is it is to smooth and crisp. It is really sweet compared to most of my other 1911's:p

I chose no problems but honestly when I got it, it would FTF at times. Out came the dremel and some polish to the ramp, slide rails and breech and wah - la.....works great ever since. It was used but I think it needed a break-in also so I can't take all the credit.
