Polishing my new baby

I just got a S&W model 66-7 (SS) and it has a few scratches.

What is the best way to polish it up?

Try a fine Scotchbright and work slowly and check the finish.

Try a little toothpaste if the scratches aren't deep.

Also, polish the whole gun not just where the scratches are. If you have access to a buffing wheel you might give that a try, go lightly.

Mothers Mag Polish, and a micro fiber rag, and some elbow grease.

A few hours in front of a TV on a cold night, and a empty gun will get you here.

Flitz, old pair of jeans cut up into rags, and a liberal amount of elbow grease.

Be sure to polish the entire gun, otherwise the bright spot will look worse than the scratches themselves.
