Polishing a stock extension?

Hi guys. I've got a black plastic (delrin?) stock extension all trimmed down and fitting like a glove. I've wet sanded all the way down to 1500 and have a really nice smooth finish now. But its dull.

Wondering if I should keep sanding to bring back the semi gloss plastic finish? Or maybe some sort of polish/wax?

Obviously not a big deal. But I've got a lacquer finish on my stock. Would be nice to keep the shiny flow.

Thanks!

If you wax it first - you'll have to sand it again in order to spray a lacquer on it.

I don't know if a product like Armor All will give you enough shine / or get a test piece and spray it with some lacquer ( like Deft high gloss ) and see if that will stick and not flake off ...

or get a test piece and Armor All it - and see if that'll hold up ....
