Polish Radom question. How does the magazine work with out feed lips?

I've heard repeatedly that the Radom has no feed lips on the mag, that they are part of the gun instead. How does this work?

I've never handled a Radom before, but from the description I can't figure out how the cartridges manage to stay in the magazine. :)

The top of the magazine is rounded and compressed to hold the rounds in (sort of like feed lips), but the actual feed lips are part of the top of the mag well, the same way as they are on the Tokarev. This is sort of a "halfway" approach, to prevent magazines from becoming unusable if they're damaged. My FN49 takes this approach the whole way, by not having ANY sort of feed lips in the mag at all.
