OK folks...quick question...I know quite a few of you are using the .45 230gr Hydroshocks as your business load...my question to you is what would be a good range loading that hits the exact same point of impact and is cheaper to boot???...

I use Union Metallic Cartridge Company (Remington) 230 grn. full metal jackets. very reliable and very accurate. and fairly cheep to.
Good luck

2nd vote for UMC 230 grain (yellowbox) same (relative) POI as hyrda shocks in all 3 of my 45's.

230 grain Speer Lawman FMJ loads.
They impact exactly the same as the 230 grain Hydras.

I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperor because some
moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, people would put me away!

thanks for the suggestions...anybody have any experience with the Federal American Eagle 230 FMJ and it's approximation(sp?) to the 230gr HS???...I was hoping that round could be used as the range round I was looking for...Ammoman's got it pretty cheap :D...
